Frankincense has a variety of notable uses and benefits. Frankincense was also used during religious ceremonies for salves for soothing skin and perfume. Frankincense oil is derived from the Boswellia sacra tree and trees of a similar species. The Boswellia sacra are characterized by its thin and peeling bark, tangled branches, and clustered leaves at the end of the branches. The trunks of these trees often have more than one stem; however, some have only one trunk. These trees can grow up to 8 meters and are commonly found growing on rocky slopes and southern coastal mountains. The Boswellia sacra are native to Ethiopia, northern Somalia, south-western Oman, and southern Yemen. The resin of a tree is a sap-like substance with a high viscosity. 

For centuries,

The resin of the tree has been obtained by slashing or making an incision into the tree, which then emits large amounts of resin. After the resin secretes from the tree, it is then scraped off or collected as it drips onto the ground. When doTERRA obtains the resin from trees, the trees are carefully scored or “bled.” From there, the resin is delicately distilled and essential oils are extracted.

Litsea essential oil

For hundreds of years, Litsea, a plant native to East Asia, has been used by the indigenous people of Taiwan in traditional health practices. It is also known by the name “mountain pepper” in Mandarin.  Litsea oil’s source plant is a tree; it bears pale lemon-scented flowers and small fruits that look like little peppers, hence the nickname Litsea cubeba is an evergreen tree or shrub belonging to the Lauraceae family. Its fruit produces Litsea—a lemon-like essential oil with a wide range of aromatic uses. Due to its high content of geranial and neral, Litsea has many surface cleansing properties. Geranial and neral are also found in Melissa and Lemongrass and have very similar scents and properties. When diffused, Litsea can promote feelings of fresh energy to your day.

The sharer loves the benefits of doTERRA essential oils and wellness products and wants to casually share them with others. They are interested in earning enough bonuses to pay for their monthly Loyalty Rewards order. Sharer wants to host or invite individuals to an event taught by a doTERRA leader.
The Builder: Interested in building a doTERRA business and supplementing or replacing their income.

Puration Inc. is a penny stock that I have been buying for the last year. Puration launched the EVERx CBD Infused Sports Waters in the spring of 2017.  EVERx has since become the leading CBD infused beverage in the sports nutrition marketplace. In 1960, he was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study chemistry in Chicago; where he also worked at different labs before leaving his university studies to return to the industry. He obtained his doctorate in pharmacognosy at the State University in Groningen, the Netherlands. Dr. Lawrence served as a researcher and the director of research and development until he retired in 2003. He then started a consultancy business which continues to this day. In 1989, he founded the Journal of Essential Oil Research and was editor-in-chief until January 2010. He remains on the JEOR editorial board.

What do you see for doTERRA in the future?

We asked that question to Emily Wright, co-founder of doterra. My dreams for doTERRA have grown over the years. In the beginning, our main goal as founding executives was to offer the purest and potent essential oils the Earth had to offer. The vision of empowering families and individuals by tapping into the power of essential oils and educating them about their multi-faceted benefits. We never imagined the personal development that would occur. When of tens of thousands of people are sharing the benefits of the gifts of the Earth with others. It’s a humbling experience.

As the company has grown and evolved, our vision has gotten bigger. We are providing an opportunity for those living in developing countries to be self-reliant through our Co-impact Sourcing initiatives. We have big plans to continue working directly with growers all over the world to create more sustainable jobs and offer many families a better way of life. The potential that exists truly is limitless.

Could you tell us a little about your personal goals?

Teaching others, including my own children, that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to. They have value beyond measure and can be a positive influence in the world. Just imagine what the world would be like if every person recognized their gifts and potential! You can’t take yourself too seriously and I try to find joy in everything I do. I love for playing games as long as I can win. I enjoy beating Dr. David K. Hill, D.C. at volleyball. Four-wheeling, hiking, gardening, and playing in the yard with my family, bring me joy. The combination of the ocean and the sun is the best therapy for this country girl. In Conclusion, we all feel blessed to be given this opportunity to help others.
